On macOS 27.2 the reviewer read her panel back as mask 0x80, no shadow, key only if needed, never key, a child of the main window, its frame and content rect alike; her window 112 by 124, inside the bottom edge under the menu bar; the top 32 rows and the outer columns of her picture clear; abc reached cat. A probe that kept setStyleMask: from taking logged 'pet: Ely goes, as her window cannot be kept there' and 'pet: her panel keeps style mask 0x8081', left no child window, and the main window still took abc. check.sh passed with 240 tests. This macOS draws no edge for a titled panel, so the hairline's going awaits the owner's macOS; Windows and Linux rest on the captures supplied.
