Open "- a\n \t- b\n" in Visual, open its list block, place the caret after b, and press Shift+Tab. The four-column indent becomes a Tab: actual "- a\n\t- b\n", expected "- a\n- b\n"; the item remains nested. Both the GPUI interaction and the exact helper reproduce this on native Windows and WSL Linux, while the existing leading-Tab regression passes. Remove one indentation level by columns across mixed spaces and Tabs, update the selection accordingly, and add mixed-whitespace regressions.
