README: embed the demo as a GIF (GitHub only inline-plays uploaded videos)

Raw links to repo-committed mp4s render as plain links in READMEs — GitHub's inline player only works for web-UI-uploaded assets. The demo is now an optimized 3.3MB GIF (8fps, 880px, 128-color palette) embedded as an image, with the full-quality mp4 linked below it.
