Checks run: `cargo check --workspace` (clean), `cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets` (clean), `cargo fmt --check` (clean), `cargo test --workspace` (3 passed), `tests/scripts/apps-start.sh` (8 of 8 open a window, draw, and quit), `tests/scripts/agents_md.py` (117 names are public). Every file is under 500 lines, and every comment fits on one line.

The five round-1 defects:
|
|
|
|
1. Fixed. Logging still uses `log` + `env_logger`. agents.md rule 4 now says `log`, matching gpui. Neither the code nor the rules mention `tracing` anywhere.
|
|
2. Fixed. crates/ely-ui/src/shell.rs:20 returns the `FocusScope` root directly. The wrapper and `debug_selector` are gone.
|
|
3. Fixed. The repeated `h1` app name is removed. The window shows only the themed content area.
|
|
4. Fixed. The `[workspace.lints.rust]` `check-cfg` entry is removed from Cargo.toml.
|
|
5. Fixed. tests/scripts/apps-start.sh:17 sets `XDG_DATA_HOME` to a path inside the temp dir.
|
|
|
|
The changed code (Cargo.toml, agents.md, crates/ely-ui/src/run.rs, crates/ely-ui/src/shell.rs, tests/scripts/apps-start.sh) has no new defects. Showing a reason when the graphics backend fails to start (PRD §4.1) belongs to C01.2, so it is out of scope here.
