Pins omarchy-mac-pkgs 5b2c815: follows omacom/omarchy#14431's aarch64-apple
platform name and skips the Electron GL wrapping on a runtime without its
helpers.
main now has omarchy-mac-pkgs#20: a factory reset's reboot unlocks the disk
with a key from the Boot partition, and systemd could mount that partition
again just before switching to the real root without unmounting it
(systemd/systemd#28021), leaving /boot read-only so owner setup's re-key
failed. An initramfs drop-in makes the unmount finish before the switch. It
also has #18 (first-boot encryption progress on the splash) and test-only
changes (#11, #19). New UTC commit date, so 20261008-1. omarchy-mac stays at
2a3ed89.
main now has omarchy-mac-pkgs#10: the boot check leaves device tree
overlays out when /etc/default/update-m1n1 does not apply them (an
owner's copy pacman kept over the .pacnew, or no file), instead of
failing a correct boot.bin and stopping omarchy update. #9 is test-only.
Same UTC commit date as 20261004-2, so pkgrel 3. omarchy-mac stays at
2a3ed89.
main now has the docs and CI pin from omarchy-mac-pkgs#7 and the device
tree overlays from #3. omarchy-mac 0.1.0-12 and omarchy-mac-boot
20261004-2 (same commit date, so pkgrel 2). omarchy-mac-boot's overlay
tests need dtc in checkdepends.
The engine enabled omarchy-mac-migrate-verify.service with systemctl; with the unit gone the link would dangle. Also correct which omarchy-mac pull requests every omarchy-mac-pkgs pin includes (#544 has not merged).
Both recipes pin omacom/omarchy-mac-pkgs main 4399105 and stage the
top-level omarchy-mac/ and omarchy-mac-boot/ directories, each tested
from its own copy. omarchy-mac 0.1.0-11 and omarchy-mac-boot 20261004-1
sort above edge and every lab candidate. They carry the depends and the
platform-root provide from #672 and #673 and drop the migration engine,
legacy files and the Apple setup core now owns.
omacom/omarchy#13362 (d0b94d98c) dropped the omarchy-hw-platform copy
omarchy-settings shipped beside its platform guard. Its 00-omarchy-hooks.conf
now asks the runtime's own detector on PATH, and keeps the busybox line where
there is none. The aarch64 settings recipes still refused any source whose
baseline names omarchy-hw-platform without that copy, so every aarch64 build
of quattro would fail once #13362 merges.
Both recipes drop that check. The copy is still installed when a source ships
the guard, as before. The test fixture follows #13362's current baseline, and
the split-layout test checks the package builds from it and ships no copy.
No platform package is built for x86_64, so an x86 machine has nothing to
guard. The check that 00-omarchy-hooks.conf has its detector copy follows it:
without the copy, x86_64 keeps the busybox line it would have anyway, and
leaving the check unscoped would fail every x86_64 build from a source that
asks omarchy-hw-platform. Taken from #691, which keeps the -dev recipe.
A source with default/settings-runtime-profile decides at runtime which
platform-specific files apply, so its aarch64 package now gets the same files,
backup and optdepends as x86_64: the Thunderbolt request and the memory stack
stay, and its HOOKS files ship as they are. The check that a Mac's asahi line
survives still runs on every aarch64 build. Older sources, including the pinned
v4.0.4, keep #380's aarch64 package: Thunderbolt removed, the HOOKS line guarded
for asahi, the memory stack stripped. The keyboard backlight unit first-run
enables ships whenever the source has it.
pkgrel 4 so the recipe change builds: edge already holds 4.0.4-3 on both
architectures. The payload built from v4.0.4 is unchanged.
omazed 2.2.0 added omazed-font.sh, which the recipe did not install, so font
sync was silently skipped and `omazed set-font` failed. The helper also needs
jq and perl.
A merged aarch64 tree without a PR build artifact (expired after 7 days,
or a dispatch) was rebuilt on the x86 droplet under QEMU: omarchy-mac-boot
took ~167 of the 240 minutes. A new job builds it on ubuntu-24.04-arm the
way build-pr.yml does and uploads it under the same label, so the publish
job signs and uploads it on the droplet like a PR artifact. The plan logs
reuse or rebuild for every package; x86_64, signing and the publish
concurrency are unchanged.
The droplet pool is x86, so aarch64 builds ran under QEMU about 30x slower;
omarchy-mac-boot's check() took 2h47m of the 180-minute job limit. Heavy
packages stay on the droplets until a native build of each is shown to fit.
From omacom/omarchy-mac#567 the add-on enables speakersafetyd itself and its
README says the recipe declares mkinitcpio and the protected speaker stack
(asahi-audio, which pulls speakersafetyd, alsa-ucm-conf-asahi, rtkit,
pipewire-alsa).
Both packages move to the same omarchy-mac commit, so speakersafetyd keeps
one owner (#567 with #535) and the boot entrypoints the runtime needs publish
first. omarchy-mac gains the Apple Silicon platform group its source's guard
contract names.
The snapshot restore hooks under /etc/boot/hooks are symlinks, which the
backup list leaves out. omarchy-drive-password needs luks-slots only for the
system disk.
omarchy-lifecycle-dispatch requires reset-* (#552) and luks-slots (#553) on
Apple Silicon, so a runtime carrying them before this package blocks factory
reset, owner setup and omarchy-drive-password on Macs.
The boot check and, from #560, the snapshot restore check read the kernel out
of the Limine UKI with objcopy. mkinitcpio pulls binutils in today, but the
package calls it directly.
Moves the pin from f7ea7ecc to the head of quattro-upstream, which adds
#552's reset-prepare, reset-verify, reset-commit and reset-rollback
entrypoints, #553's luks-slots entrypoint and recovery key handling,
#556's encrypt unit output to kmsg at notice, and #560's snapshot restore
check with its limine-snapper-sync pre and post hooks. The pin's UTC date is
still 20260925, so pkgrel goes to 4. #544 is not in it, so the Plymouth
fragment still ships and no HOOKS baseline dependency applies.
Moves the pin from the boot-set integration commit to quattro-upstream,
which now has #541 with its review fixes (first boot hands off only for a
failed step, and the retry waits for NetworkManager), #543's update-verify
entrypoint, #545's provision entrypoints and #549's keyslot-only LUKS check.
#544 is not in it, so the Plymouth fragment still ships and no HOOKS baseline
dependency applies.
A pin with omacom/omarchy-mac#544 needs the settings HOOKS baseline (#542)
published first; a pin with #543's update-verify entrypoint must publish
before any runtime carrying #543. pkgrel 3 so this rebuild does not reuse the
published 20260925-2 filename.
From omacom/omarchy-mac#544 the Apple drop-ins no longer add Plymouth
themselves and build on omarchy-settings' 00-omarchy-hooks.conf (#536). A
settings version cannot express that (quattro candidates sort below stock
releases and omarchy pins its settings exactly), so a build whose payload has
no 93-omarchy-mac-plymouth.conf depends on the name
omarchy-mkinitcpio-hooks-baseline, which settings packages that ship the
baseline must provide.
Pin a09ee0ca, the head of omacom/omarchy-mac integ/boot-set-1 (#547): quattro-upstream with #527, #540, #545 and #541 merged. The package then carries the Apple provisioning entrypoints from #545 and can publish before those PRs merge.
groups=('omarchy-platform-apple-silicon') is the platform tag the pacman
platform guard reads (omacom/omarchy-mac#539); the package is not published
yet, so it carries the tag from its first build. The pin moves to 3a58abb5,
omacom/omarchy-mac#541 with #527's current head merged in.
CI builds a changed recipe and needs a new package; 4.0.4-1 is already
published. The pinned upstream source has no guard files, so 4.0.4-2 has the
same contents.
DRM.cpp needs more than 8 MiB of compiler stack. GCC raises its own limit
natively, but the aarch64 builder runs under QEMU user-mode emulation, which
fixes the guest stack at exec and ignores setrlimit, so cc1plus segfaulted.
Unpatched 0.15.1 fails the same way. QEMU_STACK_SIZE sizes it at exec; native
builds ignore it and the object code is identical.
Moves the pin to 602266c8, where first boot of a fresh image refuses to finish
without the build manifest that defers its hardware setup. asahi-scripts is
the one Apple-only dependency; the README no longer calls them all generic.
The Apple Silicon boot package (Mac initramfs, in-place encryption, first
boot and the Limine activation gate) now builds from packages/omarchy-mac/boot
in omacom/omarchy-mac at a pinned commit: the recipe runs the source's tests
and install staging, and keeps only metadata, backup= and the pacman
scriptlet from the fork recipe. aarch64 and edge only; 20260925-1 upgrades
the fork's 20260921-10. It needs the Apple-gated limine-mkinitcpio-hook
1.39.0-2.
Moving omarchy-hw-platform from omarchy to omarchy-settings loses the file
when the dev pair installs in separate transactions, since omarchy-dev does
not pin omarchy-settings-dev's version. Settings now installs a copy beside
the guard script and omarchy keeps its detector, so no file changes owner.
The settings package's platform guard runs omarchy-hw-platform before the
omarchy runtime is installed. omarchy leaves the detector out of its bin/
loop and settings ships it, with the /usr/share/omarchy/bin link the Apple
predicate and the CLI router use, whenever the source has it.
The guard hook and the script it runs install together from omarchy-settings,
so they are resident before the runtime and hardware packages. Conditional, so
builds from sources without them are unchanged.
On aarch64 the Limine hooks and the mkinitcpio wrapper run through
limine-apple-gate. Only an Apple Silicon Mac (device tree "apple,")
behaves differently: Limine's kernel and removal hooks wait until
Omarchy activates Limine (/var/lib/omarchy/limine.enabled and
/etc/default/limine), mkinitcpio's own kernel hook keeps /boot current
before and after activation, Limine's EFI deploy hook is left to
omarchy-mac-boot, and the wrapper is plain mkinitcpio. Skipped hooks
drain the socket pacman streams targets over.
x86_64 packages exactly what 1.39.0-1 did; generic aarch64 and
Snapdragon keep upstream behaviour.
PR builds link against published edge, so a Hyprland bump in the same merge
cannot see the carry, and as a fast-ring package it would reach every aarch64
channel. The rebuild detection fix that bumps it once the carry publishes
moves to its own PR, so this change only adds the aquamarine carry.
sync-rebuilds followed PUBLISHED_ARCHES (x86_64 by default), so the scheduled
run skipped every aarch64-only package, and it read aarch64 triggers from Arch
Linux ARM even when this repository carries them. It now follows the
architectures a merge builds (CI_ARCHES, shared with build-matrix), and reads a
carried trigger from its recipe once edge publishes that version; until then
its dependents wait. Published databases are verified before use and loaded
once per run.
Carry Arch's aquamarine 0.15.1-1 with one patch that re-reads a connector's
possible CRTCs on rescan, so a Type-C port the Apple DCP fabric reroutes to
another pipeline gets a CRTC without restarting the compositor. aarch64 and
edge only; pkgrel 1.1 sits above Arch Linux ARM's 0.15.1-1.
Bump Hyprland for aquamarine 0.15.1 and make rebuild detection see aarch64.
sync-rebuilds followed PUBLISHED_ARCHES (x86_64 by default), so the scheduled
run skipped every aarch64-only package, and it read aarch64 triggers from Arch
Linux ARM even when this repository carries them. It now follows the
architectures a merge builds, and reads a carried trigger from its recipe once
edge publishes that version.
Packages only packages/omarchy-mac from omacom/omarchy-mac at an exact
quattro-upstream commit, restricted to aarch64 and the edge channel.
Ported from the omarchy-mac/omarchy-pkgs-aarch64 recipe.

A replaces rule applies to any root with the omarchy repo, so a generic
aarch64 system carrying wireguard-arch would be offered this Apple-only
kernel on -Syu. ALARM's linux-aarch64 carries no replaces either.
Ported from the asahi-quattro lane. Both are pinned by hand like
linux-aurora and restricted to aarch64 and the edge channel from their
first merge, since merging publishes. pkgrel sits one above the fork
lanes' builds so the same filename never carries two sets of bytes.
The kernel provided linux=, so on any aarch64 root with the omarchy repo
listed before core, a dependency on linux resolved to this Apple-only kernel
instead of ALARM's linux-aarch64. linux-asahi and WIREGUARD-MODULE stay.
Channel membership narrows to edge until M1 and M2 cold-boot qualification;
promotion widens it again. pkgrel moves to 10 because 7.1.12.aurora2-9 is
already published and a filename is immutable.
qemu-binfmt-conf.sh groups arm with aarch64 and skipped it; Apple Silicon has
no AArch32 execution, so --ignore-family is needed for ARM32 programs. The
bin/sync-upstream extension, its tests and the Tests workflow edit are
reverted; QEMU updates become reviewed pins.
Chromium sandboxes through unprivileged user namespaces on Arch-family
kernels, so the setuid-root helper is unnecessary. The watcher tests now run
from check() as checksummed package sources, leaving tests/ and the shared
Tests workflow untouched.
Aurora Silicon's fork of the Asahi kernel (DisplayPort alt-mode and USB4
for external displays, VRR, ISP and AOP drivers) as an aarch64-only split
package, linux-aurora and linux-aurora-headers, pinned to an immutable
commit that was cold-boot qualified on a MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro and 16"
M2 Max. It provides and conflicts with linux-asahi so Macs move over in
one explicit transaction, and pkgrel 9 orders it after the last build the
maralcbr fork published, so already-installed Macs upgrade on -Syu.
Metadata: skip_build like the x86 kernels (built only by its own PR),
release_ring fast with channels edge and rc, so one merge publishes the
same artifact to edge/aarch64 and rc/aarch64 and stable keeps asahi-alarm's
linux-asahi. No x86 job is emitted and no shared tooling changes.
