The OSD, the reminder flow and the Wi-Fi QR code now keep a surface that
parks as a 1x1 in the corner and grows when shown. They were missing from
the layer rule that turns Hyprland's layer animation off for the shell's
overlays, so Hyprland animated that growth: the OSD flew in from the left.
Add them to the rule, and test that every OverlayWindow's namespace is in
it.

* fix(screensaver): open in own special workspace instead of active
- The screensaver window rule sets fullscreen, and a workspace holds
only one fullscreen window
- Launching it on the active workspace drops the fullscreen window
already there, and leaves it windowed after the screensaver quits
* Keep a showing special workspace open through the screensaver
A monitor shows one special workspace at a time, so opening the screensaver on its own replaced a visible scratchpad, and it stayed hidden after the screensaver closed. Open it on the special workspace that is already showing instead; it covers that just as well, and the workspace is still there when it goes.
The test's stubbed event stream follows the one in #10870.

* Hand focus back after the screensaver closes
Hyprland focuses a monitor when its special workspace empties, so on more than one monitor keyboard focus ended up wherever the last screensaver happened to close, rather than where it was. A detached reader on the launcher's event stream waits for the last one to go and focuses the original monitor again; the launcher itself still exits straight away, as the idle service expects.

* Keep a remapped screensaver off the regular workspaces
The terminal occasionally maps its window again as it closes, after its special workspace is gone. The launcher's workspace only applies to the first map, so the window landed on the focused monitor's regular workspace, where its fullscreen rule took fullscreen from the window there. On Hyprland 0.56.2 with two monitors this happened in 4 of 45 cycles, each time losing the user's fullscreen. A class rule now sends any later map to a hidden special workspace; the launcher's exec rule still wins on the first map.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Check for screensavers before waiting on their close
The focus watcher only looked for remaining screensavers after reading a closewindow, so one that never mapped, or closed while the launcher was still waiting on another monitor, left it blocked until some unrelated window closed, and then it pulled focus back to the old monitor. It now checks before each wait, and matches the exact class, passed through the environment so the screensaver's pgrep and pkill never see it in argv.

The repo moved to the omacom org. GitHub redirects the old URLs, but
`omarchy channel set dev` was still cloning from basecamp/omarchy, which
left every dev checkout with a stale origin remote that confuses gh
(pr create fails with "No commits between omacom:quattro and
basecamp:<branch>"). Update the clone URL, the quattro upgrade tarball,
the update-confirm release link, the systemd Documentation link, and
the manual.

1Password 8.12 changed its app id from "1Password" to
"com.onepassword.OnePassword" (its .desktop file now declares that as
StartupWMClass). Our window rule only matched the old name, so the main
window came up tiled and lost the no_screen_share protection.
Match both forms so older installs keep working.

Catches the branch up on 94 commits so what lands here is reviewed against
current quattro, and so #8611 contributes its own five files rather than
dragging a partial catch-up in behind it.
The HUD is a frameless Electron window that paints its own per-pixel
transparency. Under the default rules it gets a compositor border and Omarchy's
window opacity on top, which turns the compact prompt into an outlined, muddy
canvas.
Scoped to the HUD by title, so the main Hermes window keeps the ordinary
treatment.

* Measure the About layout in UTF-8 so its window is not fitted too narrow
wc -L only counts display columns in a UTF-8 locale. A session that never
set one leaves it counting the box-drawing and Nerd Font glyphs the About
layout is built from as nothing, which measured the content 21 columns
narrower than it renders and fitted the window to clip it.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Open the About window at the size it last settled on
The window used to map at the float rule's starting size, paint, and only
then measure itself and resize, so every open flashed one window size and
reflowed into another. The size that hugs the content can only be measured
from inside the terminal, so remember it and apply it as a window rule
before the terminal is spawned: the window now maps at its final size and
never moves. A rebranded logo or a new font falls back to the float rule
for one launch, refits, and is remembered from then on.
The fit itself now moves the window by the cells it is off by, rather than
scaling it to the grid, which multiplied up the terminal's padding along
with them and left the fit a column or two short. It accepts a cell of
slack instead of chasing an exact grid, since a window lands where the
terminal's cell boundaries put it, not where it was asked to.

The floating rule pinned every agent terminal to 1200x800, which
overflows small and scaled displays: window rules see logical pixels, so
a 2560x1440 monitor at scale 1.6 is only 1600x900 and the window covered
89% of its height. Tiling drops the fixed size along with the rule, and
the shared app-id still earns the terminal tag from terminals.lua.
* Reshape the agent launcher into omarchy agent
omarchy-launch-agent becomes omarchy-agent, with prompts on omarchy-agent-prompt
rather than the bare route: `omarchy agent` is both a command and a group, so a
positional prompt there would shadow any subcommand under it. The launcher takes
flags only and points at `omarchy agent prompt` when handed one.
Every agent window now launches under a fixed org.omarchy.agent app-id instead of
omarchy-launch-tui's default of org.omarchy.<binary>, so one rule floats them all
whichever agent is default.
Omarchy also stops picking an agent for you. omarchy-default-agent prints nothing
until one is chosen, leaving every entry under Setup > Defaults > Agent unchecked,
and a first-run invitation offers to take you there.
* Wordsmith
* Cover the agent routes and the invitation
The route split is the point of the change, so exercise `omarchy agent`,
`omarchy agent prompt`, and a rejected positional prompt through the router
rather than only the binaries behind them.
The invitation gets the same treatment as the Voxtype and fingerprint ones: it
notifies once, opens the agent defaults menu, and leaves both the notification
and the marker alone for anyone who already chose an agent.
* Offer the agent choice from the keybinding
Super + Shift + Ctrl + A now runs `omarchy-agent --pick`, which opens Setup >
Defaults > Agent when nothing is chosen yet. A keypress that writes to stderr
and opens nothing just looks broken.
* Reach existing installs with the agent invitation
first-run installs the invitation hook, and existing accounts marked it complete
long ago, so they would never see it -- while being the accounts most likely to
need it, since the old getter returned opencode implicitly and most have no
agent recorded at all. Post-update hooks run later in the same update, so the
invitation arrives without waiting for another one.
* Say what the Defaults submenus set
Setup > Defaults lists Agent, Browser, Terminal, Editor, but the header inside
each repeated the same bare word, which reads as a category rather than a
setting -- and says nothing at all when the menu is summoned straight into it.
The list keeps its short labels; the headers now name the setting.
The class is matched in full, so the bare "foot" alternative never covered
a window carrying org.codeberg.dnkl.foot. That left universal copy sending
CTRL + C into a terminal, the same way it did for the Omarchy TUIs.
default/hypr/apps/system.lua already treats that app-id as a foot window.

* Fit the About window to its rendered content
The About fastfetch layout needs more columns than the shared 875x600
float provides, and the terminal's grid often only reaches its final
size after fastfetch has printed, leaving the output wrapped over the
logo or clipped at the initial 80-column grid (#6465).
Give About a dedicated org.omarchy.about app id so launch-or-focus can
actually match it, render through a loop that repaints on window size
or branding changes, and measure the rendered content to fit the window
around it with even padding, whatever the terminal font or About logo.

* Apply the terminal tag to Omarchy's own terminal windows
Omarchy launches TUIs and its own terminal windows under dedicated
app-ids (org.omarchy.btop, org.omarchy.terminal, TUI.float, ...), so the
class never matched the terminal that drew the window and those windows
went untagged.
Also drop the tag's opacity rule, which stripped default-opacity only to
re-apply the identical value. Themes still override through the tag.

* Match terminals by tag for universal clipboard shortcuts
The binding kept its own list of terminal classes, so SUPER + C in a TUI
window sent CTRL + C instead of CTRL + Insert. Read the terminal tag
instead of duplicating the definition.

* Send files to a tailnet machine with Taildrop
The panel gets a send button next to the copy one on every machine that
Tailscale grades as a Taildrop target, and `s` does the same from the
keyboard. Picking runs through the XDG portal chooser, so it looks like
the file dialog every other app opens.

* Save incoming Taildrop files and say so
Linux keeps Taildrop files in the daemon's inbox until someone asks for
them, so nothing arrived until you ran `tailscale file get` by hand. A
user service now stages each delivery next to the downloads directory,
hands it over under a free name, and announces it — with a preview when
it's an image, and a click to open it.

* Float every portal dialog, not just the titled ones
The portal only ever shows dialogs, and the title regex missed any
chooser an app names something else — ours included.

* Re-run the Taildrop enable now that the unit ships
The unit was never installed to /usr/lib/systemd/user/, so the enable had
nothing to act on and machines that already ran the migration carry a marker
for a no-op. Rename it so they get a working pass, and report what systemctl
says instead of a bare failure line.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Wait for the file chooser on the connection that asked for it
The portal answers a request with a Response signal directed at the connection
that made it, and dbus-daemon delivers directed signals only to that
connection. gdbus monitor registers with AddMatch rather than BecomeMonitor, so
it never saw the reply: every pick left omarchy-file-select blocked on a read
that could not arrive, taking omarchy-tailscale-send down with it before it
reached either its notification or the transfer.
Make the call and wait for the signal on one connection, and give up after ten
minutes so an unanswered dialog cannot strand the caller.
Drop the "Sending to" notification while here, so a send reports once.

* Mark Taildrop notifications with the panel's send glyph
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Stop a hung tailscale poll from freezing the panel
Each poll is skipped while its own process is still running, so one that never
exits leaves the panel showing whatever it last read, for good: the peer list
keeps a woken machine missing, and opening the panel cannot help because open
runs the same refresh that hits the same guard.
Reap anything still running fifteen seconds after a refresh, well inside the
thirty second interval, so the next tick starts clean.

* Place a moved widget where an added one lands
'move omarchy.media left' named a section, not a slot, but the section went
through as an explicit target, which resolves a missing index by appending. The
widget landed on the far end of the row instead of after the section anchor
where 'add' puts it.
Its test has never run: the assertion covering this went in four hours after an
unrelated layout change had already stopped the file, and the runner stops the
whole suite at the first failure.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Keep the config test from failing on things it is not about
The center layout assertion pinned the whole row, so parking the indicators
left of the clock broke a test named for update sitting next to weather. Assert
that adjacency instead.
The package-defaults check reads PKGBUILDs from the omarchy-pkgs repo and blew
up with a traceback wherever that is not a sibling checkout. Skip it when the
checkout is absent, honour OMARCHY_PKGS_ROOT when it is somewhere else, and
keep failing when it is present and wrong.
Between them these stopped the suite eighty files early.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Make the file chooser a Python command rather than a bash host for one
The portal work was a heredoc wedged inside a bash script that existed only to
parse two flags. Drop the host: argparse covers the flags, and the file says at
the top why it is the one command here not written in bash.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* Tell a chooser that never opened apart from one that was dismissed
Three fixes from review:
The poll watchdog rearmed on every refresh, so a refresh interval shorter than
its timeout — the setting goes down to five seconds — pushed the deadline ahead
of a hung process forever. Arm it on the launch that needs watching and leave
it alone.
omarchy-file-select exited 1 both for nothing picked and for a chooser that
could not run, and omarchy-tailscale-send read it through a process
substitution, which drops the status anyway. A session bus that was not there
looked exactly like someone changing their mind. Separate the two exits and
read them with a command substitution.
Delivery picked a free name and then renamed, which overwrites anything that
takes the name in between. Link to the name instead: link(2) refuses one that
is taken, so the check and the claim are the same step.
