Elements are now pass-scoped value handles: tests that read bounds
after a frame bind a ui.Handle. pixel tells frames apart by the build
pass's root, since the Tester clock no longer moves on its own.
Fix the regressions the upgrade brought:
- Clipboard reads in input handlers go through c.Services().
- MyGo notes an overlay's opener after building it, so AutoFocus
inside lost it; pixel.AutoFocus focuses through a Handle, and
archtest bans the raw call. Dialogs hand the focus back again.
- Elements around a press stay hovered: Tooltip tells a press-given
focus by focus arriving under the pointer.
- The web host moves the Tester clock with real time, at most 500 ms
a call, and gives components the real clock.
The gallery's source index also accepts CRLF checkouts.

PRD G1 asks for one component per file. Eight files held two or
three; their eleven extra components move to files of their own,
helpers stay where both sides use them, and an archtest now fails
any file that holds two.
PRD 4.4 and the request say an error always offers CONTINUE.
ErrorState's button read RETRY; it now reads CONTINUE, under the
CONTINUE? countdown, on the crash screen and the lost page alike.
The README says what 8bitMyGoUI is, in English with a Chinese
summary, and shows the gallery home in Winter Night. It covers
install, a first window, the eight palettes, the dot, locale and
Reduce Motion, the gallery and web commands, the showcase URL and
the 500 components by category. The example was compiled and
clicked headlessly in its own module; a gallery test keeps the
counts true to the registry.
THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md lists what the native gallery and the
showcase link, from go list -deps, each license copied verbatim:
MyGo, Ark Pixel Font, rsc.io/qr, go-text/typesetting,
golang.org/x/image, purego and Go itself.
AGENTS.md records the gallery sweeps, the console-error rule,
the budget test and what follows a third failed review.
The Playwright suite now checks PRD section 7 and the budget on the
local build and on each preview and live URL.
Frame times count the whole frame: Go reports its share after
copying the pixels, and the page adds the canvas blit and keeps
p50 and p95 over the last 240 frames. A test slows putImageData
and expects p95 to show it.
The budget test runs on a moving component page and logs what it
measures: first frame, p50, p95 and the wasm's brotli bytes, as
Cloudflare sent them or compressed locally. Today: first frame
about 60 ms, p95 about 10 ms, wasm under 5 MB, against 300 ms,
16 ms and 8 MB.
Every page now ends free of console and page errors, whether a
test used open() or not; the two tests that fail on purpose say so.
Clicks and typing reach components on their own pages.
A cross-cutting pass, each fix with a test that failed first.
Veils: MyGo still hands a key to a base that turned off this frame,
so every element key now goes through pixel.Shortcut, which an
archtest enforces. Input handlers record and the build applies them
only while enabled; the editor turns away a veil-frame letter or
copy; value bases get a copy and keep only enabled turns. Popups
give a held focus back to their opener when the veil lifts.
Motion: S5 is enforced at the clock. Every Tick, Since, Step,
Toward and Shot runs at 4-15 fps; blinks keep 1 Hz on 4 fps steps,
fast animations step at 15, and drawn time is quantized to frames.
Clocks stepping back: Since holds at zero without overflow, and
k.Elapsed moves a stored start to now, so nothing goes negative,
runs backward or indexes out of range.
Also: logs count typed text instead of holding it, gallery names
use glyphs the font has, removable rows are keyed, components take
their own Options (archtest), and sweeps over all 508 demos check
veiled keys, clicks, wheels, the clock stepping back and names.
Fifteen pieces of a games night: Dice, DiceTray, PlayingCard, CardHand,
Deck, Chessboard, GoBoard, MahjongTile, Domino, Roulette, CoinFlip,
BingoCard, TicTacToe, ScoreTrack and Meeple. Component number 500 is
a meeple, which seems right.
Dice tumble, coins turn and wheels spin on a cue, a frame at a time,
and land at once under Reduce Motion. Hands lift the card you point
at and play the one drawn on top; pieces and stones pick the lighter
of Lit and Ink for White, so they read in every palette; the computer
plays a fair O; FREE is a star in every language.
New 12x12 icons: Spade, Club, Diamond, Meeple, King, Queen, Rook,
Bishop, Knight and Pawn.
Twenty pieces of a retro desktop: Desktop, DesktopIcon, Taskbar,
StartMenu, AppWindow, Calculator, Notepad, Minesweeper, ControlPanel,
TrayIcons, ShutdownScreen, BootScreen, Screensaver, Snake, Dock,
RunDialog, DiskDefrag, WallpaperPicker, ClipboardPanel and LockScreen.
The calculator really adds up and calls division by zero GAME OVER;
Minesweeper and Snake are playable, first click always safe; START
cascades its submenus without moving the rows already open; windows
drag by whole dots; the screensaver's logo changes color at each wall
and sparkles in a corner; the defragmenter is oddly soothing. Clocks
that step back hold at zero, and typed or copied text never reaches
the log.
icon.Bomb is the new 12x12 mine.
Fifteen components that dress an AI agent's work as an RPG party:
AgentCard, ToolCall, PlanQuest, ThinkingOrb, TokenMana, ApprovalPrompt,
AgentLog, SubAgentParty, MemoryCrystals, AgentStatus, DiffScroll,
ModelSelect, PromptBox, CostCoins and Checkpoints.
The context window is HP and the token budget MP; tool calls are spells
that CAST, glow, then land OK or FAILED; the transcript reads as a battle
log whose newest line types itself out; models line up like fighters.
Busy signs keep moving under Reduce Motion, decoration stops. Commands
and prompts never reach the log, and a veiled PromptBox casts nothing.
icon.Crystal is the new 12x12 save and memory crystal.
Fifteen shop components: PriceTag, Wallet, ShopItem, Cart, Receipt,
Checkout, CurrencyConvert, SaleBadge, Quantity, PricingTiers, Coupon,
DailyReward, BidTicker, TradeWindow and VendingMachine.
Receipt prints dot by dot with feed holes and a torn edge; Coupon cuts
real notches; SaleBadge is a sixteen-point starburst; VendingMachine
sells A1 to D4 by code and drops the snack into its tray. Sums are
checked against overflow, TradeWindow withdraws both confirms on any
change to an offer, and a disabled Checkout veils its inert content.
text.Odometer now counts digits as text, steps at 15 fps as S5 asks,
draws exact digits at rest and lands rolls that floats would stall.
Fifteen project components: QuestBoard, TaskItem, TaskList, Milestones,
Burndown, Pomodoro, Priority, AssigneePicker, LabelPicker, TimeTracker,
Roadmap, SprintPanel, IssueCard, Checklist and WorkloadBar.
QuestBoard is one base that draws TODO, DOING and DONE; arrows move,
Alt with an arrow carries a card, and a drag carries it live. Priority
draws 12x12 bars, and Critical is on fire. Pomodoro banks time on PAUSE
and the tomato sleeps through the rest. Extreme inputs fail fast or
saturate instead of wrapping.
MyGo's CheckboxBase turns its value before Disabled is set, so
input.Checkbox now hands it a copy and keeps only turns of an enabled
base. The home scene test checks the sky row, not one pixel that
falling snow can cover.
Fifteen file components: FileExplorer, FileGrid, FileIcon, PathBar,
MemoryCard, DiskUsage, UploadQueue, Trash, RecentFiles, FilePreview,
ArchiveViewer, FileDetails, SharePanel, SyncStatus and QuotaMeter.
FileIcon draws six kinds as hand-placed 12x12 pages and a folder. The
browsers build on data.Tree, List, GridView and Table; ArchiveViewer
owns its sort and keeps the caller's index on its entry. UploadQueue
keys rows by name so focus stays on its row. SharePanel never logs the
link. SyncStatus turns its arrows on Busy steps, so syncing moves under
Reduce Motion.
data.Tree now opens the closed branches above a chosen path it knows,
so a caller's starting path survives the first frame.
Twenty account components: SettingsList, OptionCycler, KeyBindings,
ControllerMap, ProfileCard, CharacterCreator, LoginForm, PasswordGrid,
SessionList, LanguagePicker, PalettePicker, VolumeMixer,
DifficultySelect, AccessibilityOptions, AccountSwitcher, PlayerSelect,
TwoFactor, About, PatchNotes and FeedbackForm.
The components never check credentials, and no secret reaches the log:
LoginForm reports Submitted and the caller counts Failures; each new
failure clears the password, refocuses it, shakes the form and names no
field. TwoFactor builds on input.PinInput and drains an epoch-aligned
period bar. PalettePicker draws each tile in its own palette on a
pixel.Pad grid.
pixel.Settings.Reduce stills motion like the system preference, the
micro font gains '?', display.Face draws avatar faces anywhere, and
input.PinInput pastes on Cmd+V as native hosts send it.
A terminal with history, a Go-colored code block, a log viewer that
follows, a hex viewer, a memory map, a JSON tree, a line diff, a GAME
OVER crash screen, an FPS meter, profiler bars, breakpoints,
variables, command history, a shortcut list, a debug grid, a pixel
editor that exports string art, a palette editor, a sprite sheet, a
glyph map and a 6502 register view.
layout.ScrollArea takes Follow, and ChatLog now uses it. data.TreeNode
takes a Value drawn in its Slot. pixel gains Has, and Sprite.Art
writes MustSprite art. pixel.Editor takes the caller's value at each
input event, so a value changed between frames is never typed onto.
An audio player with transport, scrubber and volume; an equalizer and
a visualizer; a playlist; a cassette, cartridge and record that turn
while they play and hold where they stop; piano keys, a step sequencer
and a tracker you can type into; a waveform, a 16:9 video frame, an
image compare, a gallery, a filmstrip, a record button and an FM tuner.
input exports SlideBase, the undrawn rail its sliders share; the
gallery treats exported Bases as building blocks, not components.
pixel's micro font gains '#' for notes like C#4. pixel.Pad and the
slide rail read input only while their base is enabled, so Inert or a
fresh Disabled stops a drag or a key already sent. AGENTS records why
a drawn container keeps the DISABLED description: MyGo paints a
disabled subtree at half opacity.
Speech bubbles, a chat log that follows its end, a composer that sends
on Enter, typing dots, chat and channel lists, read receipts,
reactions, emoji and sticker pickers, mentions, date and unread rules,
system lines, member lists, user cards, a mailbox, mail reader and
letter, a notification bell, call controls, a voice meter, attachment
chips, link previews and polls.
pixel's editor takes EnterSends; display's Bubble takes a Fill and
exports EmojiSprite. data.List names its rows, which also lets typing
choose one. layout.ScrollArea and input.TextArea hold still under
Inert, and an inert scroll view leaves the Tab order until it wakes.
Palette cycling, sky, sun and moon, clouds, starfield, rain, snow,
petals, leaves, fireflies, waterfall, ocean, campfire, lava, aurora,
lightning, mountains and a season scene; scanlines, vignette, screen
shake, flash, dither fades, iris wipes, dissolves, mosaics, glitches,
sparkles, explosions and confetti. Home opens on a live scene in the
palette's season and a strip of all eight palettes.
pixel adds Canvas.Cycled, Sprite.At, SpriteOf, Kit.Toward and
Kit.Shot, which spends a cue under Reduce Motion so it never replays;
display exports Reduce. Gallery grids and the sidebar are one Tab
stop each.
Press start, title screen, save slots, options menu, game over with
CONTINUE, credits roll, ending card, loading tips, letterbox, mission
brief, achievements, result screen, crafting grid, loot popup,
treasure chest, gacha reel, interact prompt, turn order, battle log,
target selector, ATB gauge and stamina bar. Cued effects count runs,
so each cue change plays once and reports once. CommandMenu takes
AutoFocus when enabled. HealthBar, ManaBar and CountUp keep exact
colors, ticks and counts for the largest ints.
Health, mana and experience bars, quarter hearts, lives, a spinning
coin counter, score board, stage timer, minimap with fog, compass,
hotbar, paper-doll equipment, skill tree, skill buttons with cooldown
wipes, status effects, a boss bar, damage numbers, quest log and
tracker, party frames, character sheet, level-up screen and shop.
data exports DrawSlot so every slot looks alike; pixel adds TextVeil
for dissolving text. Messages the font cannot draw are fixed and
TestMessagesHaveGlyphs holds every message to the font.
Bars, lines, areas, pies, donuts, radar, histogram, scatter, bubbles,
heatmaps, gauge, bullet, funnel, waterfall, treemap, candles, box
plots, steps, rings, legend, axis, crosshair, polar area, pyramid,
spectrum bars and win-loss strips, each drawn dot by dot. Ticks follow
1-2-5 steps and print as precisely as their step needs; a label row
uses micro letters or the pixel font as a whole. Descriptions carry the
data in numbers. Bad data panics.
Calendars, date and time inputs, pickers, clocks, timers, a sun dial,
a season wheel, an agenda and a day schedule. Kit.At rebuilds at a
moment (relative times, midnight). Stepper and NumberInput arrows stop
under Inert. DateInput parks a popup focus as its own.
Dialogs on DialogBase with focusable panels that harbor parked focus,
popovers on PopoverBase, bubbles, drawers, sheets, a lightbox, an RPG
dialogue box, notifications, a pause menu and a dithered title card.
Kit.Cue moves from feedback to pixel.
Lists, tables, trees, grids, inventories and records in data/.
Outline and GridView build on ui.List: ui.Outline strokes its arrows
and ui.GridView spaces and tints items. The pixel theme keeps MyGo's
row highlights clear so scrolled rows stay on whole dots; off lists
take a veil against the wheel. Adds Canvas.Silhouette, SwitchOptions
Label and exports Rarity.Slot.
